Method
Wash the English cucumber and pat it completely dry with a paper towel.
Slice the cucumber into rounds that are approximately 1/2-inch thick.
Arrange the slices on a large serving platter or wooden board.
Using a small spoon or a piping bag with a star tip, place about 1 tablespoon of hummus onto the center of each cucumber round.
Quarter the cherry tomatoes and place one piece on top of the hummus on each bite.
Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese and za'atar seasoning evenly over the appetizer.
Garnish with small sprigs of fresh dill and serve immediately.
Notes
Use an English or Hothouse cucumber because they have thinner skins and fewer seeds, providing a better crunch.
Pat the cucumber slices with a paper towel after cutting to remove excess moisture so the hummus stays in place.
For a professional look, use a piping bag to apply the hummus in a decorative swirl.
If you don't have za'atar, a pinch of dried oregano or smoked paprika works beautifully as a substitute.
