Slow Cooker Cheesy Beef Taco Dip

Method
Place the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until fully browned, then drain off all excess grease thoroughly.
Transfer the browned beef to the crock pot. Add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water, stirring until the meat is evenly coated.
Add the cubed cream cheese, salsa, and diced green chiles to the beef mixture. Stir briefly to combine.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Cover the pot and cook on Low for 2 hours (or High for 1 hour).
Once the cheese is melted and the dip is hot, stir everything together until smooth and creamy. Serve warm directly from the pot with tortilla chips.
Notes
Use a slow cooker liner for the easiest cleanup possible.
For a spicier kick, use 'hot' salsa and add a few dashes of hot sauce or diced jalapeños.
If the dip is too thick, stir in an extra tablespoon of salsa or milk to reach your desired consistency.
Drain the beef very well after browning to prevent the dip from becoming oily.
